Avoid Acai Berry Proprietary Blends

What is in a "proprietary blend", anyway?

Well, we have no idea, but we certainly wouldn't buy or ingest any supplement from a company that refuses to list the ingredients.

Many acai supplements indicate that their products contain a proprietary blend. In other words, they don't want to tell you what is in their products! It is very likely that the reason that will not disclose what's in the product is because if you knew, you wouldn't buy it.

"Proprietary blend" means the ingredients are a mystery!

It's likely that a product containing an acai berry "proprietary blend" has very little actual acai berry contained in it. Or, it contains an inferior type of acai that you would probably want to avoid if you knew it was in there, such as the grossly inferior acai berry "extracts" or "spray-dried" acai. Or caffeine or who knows what else! Many juices with proprietary blends are loaded with the nutritionally (almost) worthless acai seed, which is a sneaky way for some companies to substantially increase their profits while cutting back on the truly valuable acai pulp and acai skin. Consumers really must be diligent and careful. After all, the reason to spend your hard earned dollars on this highly nutritious berry is to get all of the potential nutritional benefits that the authentic acai berry offers.

Don't Buy Acai Berry Proprietary Blends

It is a shame that companies can list ingredients as being a so-called "proprietary blend" on ingredients labels, but you can be a smart consumer by just avoiding these type products and buying only pure organic acai with no additional ingredients or acai seed. Just be sure to always read the ingredients label before buying. And if the ingredients label is not listed on the company website, keep searching.
